    IntraLogix™ LRB-45 Live Roller Belt

Gates® IntraLogix™ LRB-45 is a live roller belt engineered for Dematic high-speed automated warehouse conveyance systems. A knurled polyurethane top face turns the live rollers, a low-friction antistatic fabric runs underneath, and the large aramid cords give this belt superior torsional stiffness that is ideal in long drive spans. Dematic flat conveyor systems place unique demands on live roller belts, particularly in skew-bed sections where twisting forces can compromise performance. The IntraLogix™ LRB-45 is built around these specific conditions, combining oversized aramid reinforcement with a durable thermoplastic polyurethane construction to deliver outstanding torsional rigidity and low stretch. The result is reliable roller engagement, efficient power transmission, reduced slip, and dependable high-speed performance in today's most demanding warehouse automation environments.
Recommended for: High-throughput distribution centers, e-commerce sortation halls, and automated storage and retrieval floors running Dematic flat-drive conveyors — particularly skew-bed sections, where drive geometry works against any belt that twists under load.

    • High-Grip Knurled Face: Diamond-patterned polyurethane maximizes traction against live rollers, promoting efficient torque transfer, reduced slip, and consistent conveyor performance at high operating speeds.
    • Static-Dissipative Underside: Low-friction antistatic fabric helps prevent charge accumulation, reducing the risk of product contamination, nuisance shocks, and electrical interference in automated warehouse environments.
    • Superior Torsional Rigidity: Oversized aramid tensile members and a robust cross-section provide exceptional torsional rigidity, helping maintain stable roller engagement and reliable performance through challenging skew-bed conveyor geometry.
    • Low Elongation Under Tension: High-strength aramid cords minimize elongation under load, helping maintain consistent tension, reduce maintenance requirements, and supporting longer service intervals.
    • Extended Service Life: Wear-resistant polyurethane construction and high-strength aramid reinforcement are engineered to withstand the continuous operation and demanding duty cycles common in high-throughput distribution and sortation facilities.

    FAQs

What is the Gates IntraLogix™ LRB-45?

    • A high-performance live roller drive belt engineered specifically for high-speed Dematic automated warehouse and distribution systems. Its high-grip, no v-guide, knurled polyurethane surface efficiently transfers torque to live rollers, while oversized aramid tensile members provide exceptional torsional rigidity and low stretch for reliable operation in demanding flat-drive and skew-bed conveyor sections. It runs without a guide profile and is spliced to length on site.

Why do the Gates LRB-45 belts have no v-guide?

    • Dematic flat-drive beds locate the belt through pulley crown and drive geometry rather than a groove. Adding a guide would introduce a contact point the system was never designed to accommodate.

What does the knurled surface in live roller belts do?

    • The diamond texture increases grip against the roller shells, so drive torque transfers with less slip. Less slip means less frictional heat and slower wear on both belt and roller.

How is a flat drive belt different from a guided one?

    • A guided belt is held laterally by a profile seated in a groove. A flat belt relies on pulley alignment and crown geometry, which makes installation accuracy and section stability the controlling factors.

What causes slip on live roller conveyors?

    • Insufficient wrap, under-tensioning, contamination on the drive face, or a surface that has worn smooth. Each reduces the friction available to turn the carrier rollers.

Does static buildup affect conveyor operation?

    • It can. Accumulated charge attracts particulate to running surfaces, can discharge into control wiring, and poses a handling risk around certain packaged goods.

How does torsional stiffness affect belt life?

    • A section that twists easily will track on an edge rather than its full face. Edge loading concentrates stress on a narrow band of the cord line and accelerates failure.
