Evaluating both radial flux and axial flux motor configurations for their electromagnetic, thermal, and packaging characteristics, we selected the appropriate design based on torque density targets and integration constraints.

    As leaders in fluid conveyance and thermal management, Gates is moving the data center component lineup forward by offering axial flux pumps. Our increase in research and development led to more innovation: a proprietary design using a single piece stator, in conjuction with a dry rotor. These new models allow for a more compact and higher-efficiency motor that navigates the complex fluid and materials compatibility of the industry.

    THREE-PHASE AXIAL FLUX PUMP

    Engineered with high-volumetric fluid flow in mind, the Gates Three-phase Axial Flux pump design provides high power density in a compact package, offering robust contamination protection through an isolated control board family of designs which can support power levels ranging from 100W-6KW and voltage levels from 12V-800V DC input voltage. These pumps are purpose-built for 4U+ in rack and side car designs. To strengthen our portfolio, development is underway for 20kW+ designs to support super high-flow data center solutions. Available in direct manifold and chassis mount configurations for additional customization and scalability.
